When meeting a maker at a community event, ask about materials, process and the time involved. A thoughtful conversation helps us understand pricing and value someone’s work. Ask before sharing their story or photograph.

Support can take several forms

You can introduce a suitable customer, offer constructive feedback or help with product photographs. Recommendations should be honest: avoid invented reviews or promises of sales.

A proposed space for enterprise

For future programmes, PROWINS could explore showcase tables for women entrepreneurs, subject to venue capacity and committee approval. Fees, hours, food sales and participation terms should be clear before bookings are accepted.

Sponsorship that helps practical work

Local businesses can propose support such as space, printing, mentoring or programme materials. Agree the scope and recognition with the organiser, then report what was actually delivered.
